CASINO NIGHT!!!!

First of all I want to thank everyone one who attended Casino Night last night. I also want to thank those who made it happen. And a special thanks to those ladies who prepared and served the food all evening.

I think it was alot of fun for everyone and I can't say enough how I Love you all for your support. The whole thing was overwhelming to me and I had a great time and was glad I was able to be there as long as I was. Although I have been dealt some pretty crappy cards lately (just a little casino night pun), I think I am the most fortunate man alive in the friend and family department and last night was just another example.
I also wanted to thank Jake Huggard for conducting the raffle and Keith Lowry for conducting the auction which appeared to be a real success.

Bev has been missing a great deal of work to be with me during my office visits and procedures and the co-pays and prescriptions seem to get more costly out of pocket. The money raised last night will be used specifically for those purposes.

Special thanks to Sheri, Carla, Toni and Shae.

WOW!!!!!
What an overwhelming amount of support. It doesn't surprise me. You two are awesome and it shows by the amount of support you had last night. I on the other hand got the pleasure of entertaining Breanna and we also had a great time with her. She is one amazing young woman........
All my love to the DuKatz family.
Your sis,
T

Greetings~
Though I have not had the opportunity to personally meet either one of you, I was able to attend the amazing fundraiser. I am the wife of a WV Detective and also a dispatcher at VECC. I can't even pretend to comprehend what you must be going through. It was so moving to see everyone come together and stand up to take care of one of “their own”. It didn’t matter what agency anyone was from, or what position they held, everyone converged for one reason- to show their support for you and your family. Just when I tried to get over the awesome amount of people who showed up to make the fundraiser a success …. the auction started! I’m speechless for once in my life. Not only do the people you work with love and care about you, so does the entire community! I couldn’t believe all of the donations by local businesses that were made. Please know that you and your family are in many people’s thoughts and prayers.
Blessings to you~

Hello ~
I found your blog thru Facebook.
I am a Sheriff's Deputy for Weber County, my spouse, a Detective in a neighboring city. We started a blog for the very same reason, I was diagnosed in Feb 2000, "inoperable, incurable". We do understand some of what you & your family are going thru. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
God bless,

Casino Night was an incredible event. I brought my oldest daughter, Karlie, with me and she had a great time. It was an upbeat, heart-warming night under the worst of all possible circumstances. I'm touched by all the people who made it happen. Rick and Bev, you are wonderful people and it's obvious how many lives you've touched in such a positive way! Love you both. Talk to you soon. xo Kim
